Colombian rescuers have ended their search for survivors of a fuel pipeline explosion that killed 13 people and injured nearly 100. Police commander Col. Gonzalo Londono says workers are now clearing the rubble of 25 houses destroyed by Friday’s blast, which occurred in the central province of Risaralda about 100 miles (170 kilometers) southwest of the capital, Bogota. National oil company Ecopetrol said the explosion occurred after heavy rains caused movements in the earth that ruptured the pipeline. The death toll rose to 13 from 11 Friday night when rescuers found two more corpses, including that of a 5-year-old child. Of the 99 people injured, 49 remain hospitalized.
