July 7 (Reuters) - Standard & Poor's signaled on Wednesday that Colombia may have its credit ratings upgraded if newly elected President Juan Manuel Santos pursues policies that strengthen the economy's resilience.

The agency revised to positive from stable the outlook on Colombia's BB-plus foreign-currency rating.

"We believe it is likely that the Republic of Colombia's incoming administration will pursue policies that will strengthen the country's economic resilience," S&P said in a statement.
